About the Town Board

2026 Town Board: Saprina Matheny (Vice Chair), Jim Ward, Angela Wilson, Stacia Grayson, ArMand Nelson (Chair)

Five supervisors are elected to 3 yr staggered terms. Election day is the same day as the spring Annual Town Meeting.
Town Board meetings are held each month on the 2nd Thursday at 6:30 pm in the Town Hall.
Meetings are open to the public and Town residents are encouraged to attend.

Note that messages are answered when the person is next on duty. Our Township offices are only staffed part time.

ArMand Nelson (2026-2029)
(Responsibilities: Chair, Materials Management, North Shore Management Board; Alternate for Cemetery, Planning, Town Hall, and Intergovernmental Relations)

Saprina Matheny (2024-2027)
(Responsibilities: Vice Chair, Business Management, Communication, CC Liaison/NSCS Foundation Board; Alternate to Roads, Personnel, and Intergovernmental Relations)

Stacia Grayson (2025-2028)
(Responsibilities: Cemetery and Town Hall; Alternate for Cemetery, Arts and Heritage Group, Communications, Materials Management. and  Intergovernmental Relations)

Jim Ward (2025-2028)
(Responsibilities: Roads/Invasive Weeds, Public Safety, and Arts and Heritage Group; Alternate for North Shore Management Board, CC Liaison/NSCS Foundation Board, and Intergovernmental Relations)

Angela Wilson (2026-2029)
(Responsibilities:Planning and Personnel; Alternate for Business Management, Public Safety, and Intergovernmental Relations)

Business Management: Insurance, Financials, Banking
Communications: Website, Social Media, IT for Town Hall, Phone Service, Newsletter
Intergovernmental Relations: Liaison to St. Louis County Association of Townships and Duluth Area Townships
Public Safety: Police, Fire, Emergency Operations
Materials Management: Garbage, recycling.
